A Desert Oasis in the Middle of Nowhere

The Chase at Coyote Springs is a misnomer, the course should be called "The Hike" or "The Trek". The Jack Nicklaus design course is a long desolate drive from the Las Vegas strip. Truth be told, it is well worth the hour voyage. The Chase is a must play if your golf travels take you to Las Vegas, Mesquite or Southeastern Utah.
In 2008, The Chase opened with praise as being one of the new tracks and it is regarded as one of Nicklaus' finest desert course designs. The par 72 layout plays to 7471 yards from the tips with 3 other tee boxes, 6807, 6215 and 5288 yards. Generous fairways carve thru the deserted with water strategically placed on 11 of the 18 holes.

Epic Hole

#8, Par 3 233 yards - Nothing instills fear into a golfer more than a long par 3 with water on the right. While standing on the tee box, I had a lump in my throat. Everything sloped toward the water and a back pin placement extended the hole to over 250 yards. The caddie sensed the nerves and calmly shared that the play was to land it on the front left of the green. He assured the green slopes away from the hole and the ball will roll 20-30 yards. His advice was spot on for this epic hole.

Caddies

Caddies are available and strongly encouraged. Our caddy did a phenomenal job reading the grain of the greens and saved me a few strokes.

Practice Facility

Experiencing the practice facility alone is worth the drive alone. The practice paradise stretches over 20 yards encompassing a range with 13 target greens and chipping and bunker areas. The undulating putting green allows you to practice the shots you will face on the course - uphill, downhill, sidehill, and everything in between.

Special Note

In the current interim facilities, The Chase offers limited food and beverage opportunities including snack foods such as crackers, chips, granola bars, and candy bars.
